Scottsdale, Arizona, is a bastion of culture in the American west. Yet while vacationers will find a wealth of shopping, entertainment and dining in Scottsdale, AZ, they may be wondering where to see some of the local culture. Travelers can see the work of some of Scottsdale's up-and-coming artists every Thursday, as the downtown area hosts ArtWalk.

Held along Main Street and Marshall Way, ArtWalk is a community event that invites local and regional artists, photographers and musicians to showcase their talents for guests and patrons of the arts. The event is put on by the Scottsdale Gallery Association and sees local galleries, boutiques and businesses exhibiting the work of new and established artists from a range of backgrounds.

This winter will see the event transform into the Holiday Small Works show, which begins on Thursday, December 1. More than 40 galleries will feature fine art, Native American pottery, glasswork, jewelry and more – all of which will be available for purchase and fairly-priced.

While the artwork is the main draw, there is something to be said of the scenic beauty of the downtown area as well. The area is full of unique architecture and quirky installations that are sure to captivate strolling visitors.
