SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY, Ariz. (May 21, 2009) —  Casino Arizona, an enterprise of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, announced this month that it has increased its blackjack betting limit from $500 to a $1,000 maximum bet at both of its locations. The increased betting limits will be available in the casinos’ high-limit rooms, as well as by guest request at other tables.

“Casino Arizona made the decision to increase the betting limits in blackjack as a result of customer demand,” said Dan Louis, director of blackjack for Casino Arizona. “In fact, since raising the limits last month, we have received a great deal of favorable feedback from our guests, and their satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us.”

In addition to $1,000 bet increases for blackjack, bet limits have increased across the board for all table games including Three Card Poker, World Poker Tour and Let It Ride. Games that previously had a $250 limit increased to $500, while those with a $500 increased to $1,000. Casino Arizona has 51 tables at its 101 & McKellips location and 42 tables at its 101 & Indian Bend location.

Blackjack pays 3 to 2 odds to its winners, insurance pays 2 to 1 and Casino Arizona blackjack dealers must hit on a soft 17. Casino Arizona currently is host to several blackjack promotions and tournaments including Blackjack Breaks, Great Late Late Tournament and Wild Wednesdays. Blackjack Breaks is a lunchtime tournament occurring every Tuesday at noon at 101 & McKellips. Also at 101 & McKellips is the Great Late Late Tournament which is a tournament every Friday at 3 a.m. Both properties have Wild Wednesdays, a weekly tournament occurring on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
